Role Description

Del Real’s Senior Retail Sales Manager - Ethnic, West brings the vision of the brand to life. The primary role is to lead Del Real’s selling activities across all retail segments within the assigned region. The Senior Retail Sales Manager - Ethnic, West is responsible for:

• Identifying opportunities and developing targeted business partnerships.
• Managing relationships and opening new accounts that align with Del Real's strategic growth objectives.
• Performing a full range of Retail Sales Manager duties with minimal supervision.
• Initiating, developing, and maintaining significant, sustainable, and profitable business relationships with retail chain accounts primarily in the Western United States.

Qualifications

• Ethnic focused with experience selling to customers like Northgate, Cardenas, El Super, Vallarta, etc.
• Excellent communication skills in written and oral platforms.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet research.
• Assertive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Superior presentation skills for internal and customer organization levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from an accredited four-year college/university preferred.
• Minimum 4 years Retail account management experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of fact-based direct selling experience.
• Position requires travel depending on marketplace needs and specified customer targets.
• Position is home office based with the requirement of living in the specified region.
• Traveling required is up to 50%.

Duties

• Drive Profitable Retail Growth.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow profitable business of Del Real branded products.
• Responsible for overall performance of Del Real’s Retail Sales & Execution in agreed upon retailers.
• Execute national and regional retail programs to achieve incremental volume and optimize distribution.
• Identify and analyze business opportunities using market data.
• Perform direct sales activities to drive Del Real’s presence within assigned accounts.
• Provide strategic input on trade marketing strategy/tactics.
• Lead Customer Business planning with Retail Customers.
• Develop and implement pricing strategy with assigned accounts.
• Work closely with internal departments to optimize profitability.
• Facilitate internal and external resources to achieve business objectives.
• Represent the company at trade association meetings and food shows.
• Manage administrative responsibilities including competitive intelligence and results tracking.
• Assess personal development needs and develop training plans.
• Participate in New Product Development process with respect to Retail Accounts.
