Role Description
The Relationship Manager Sr β Fiduciary Banking manages commercial depository relationships of all levels of complexity. Generates new business and relationships that will produce revenue from title companies, residential and commercial property managers, developers and businesses. Generates deposits and payments deal flow directly from these clients/prospects and orchestrates a team approach to the relationship.
The position is supported by treasury management specialists, product specialists, portfolio managers (credit, underwriting, transaction approvals/processing) and operational support specialists but remains accountable for all aspects of the relationship. Responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and closing of deposits and treasury management solutions. Manages a complex commercial depository portfolio ensuring the highest quality for the organization with minimal risk. Manages the ongoing monitoring of portfolio quality and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. May mentor and assist less experienced Relationship Managers.
Job Responsibilities

New Business Origination:

Develop and maintain relationships to generate direct deal flow.

Focus on generating new business that emphasizes the entire banking relationship.

Coordinate the team approach to approving and closing new deals to grow deposits and revenues while optimizing profitability (ROE).

Relationship Management:
-
Work with assigned treasury management personnel and portfolio managers.

Engage with clients on idea generation and relevant opportunities to expand relationships.

Industry Outreach:
-
Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions in specialty deposits.
-
Attend conferences and participate in speaking opportunities as a subject matter expert.

Credit Quality and Onboarding:
-
Work with assigned portfolio managers to ensure proactive monitoring of credit quality.

Gather timely financial statements and monitor compliance with ongoing required reporting.

Analyze financial information and recommend corrective actions based on acceptable levels.

Collaborate with Credit team and outside counsel to prepare credit approval documents.

Manage onboarding process to ensure transactions are booked appropriately.

Maintaining Knowledge:

Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions impacting the assigned portfolio.

Use independent judgment and discretion to make decisions.

Analyze and resolve problems.

Perform special projects and additional duties as required.

Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Qualifications

Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.

Minimum experience required: 10+ Years as a Commercial Relationship Manager and/or commercial depository and treasury management sales.

Experience specific to specialty deposits industries; including treasury management, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets experience.
Requirements

Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance or related field.

Job Competencies:

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.

Expert knowledge of commercial deposits, treasury management services, account analysis, and depository pricing skills.

Expert understanding of specialty deposits industries including title companies, residential and commercial property managers, etc.

Expert analytical skills to understand financial and cash flow analyses.

Highly developed negotiation skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience utilizing a calling strategy to actively call on prospects/clients.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including; Word, Excel, and Teams.

Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Ability to build trusted client relationships by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Travel will be required as necessary.

Pay Range
$140,970.75 - $224,725.00
