What you’ll do

Business Development & Sales:
-
Drive sales growth by generating revenue through the sale of Weir Minerals equipment, spares, and services.

Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within Karnataka, focusing on mining and mineral processing customers.

Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and expand market share.

Customer Relationship Management:
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at operational, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and leadership levels.

Conduct regular visits to understand customer needs and identify opportunities.

Deliver technical presentations and sales promotions to support customer engagement.

Technical & Commercial Leadership:
-
Prepare and present detailed techno-commercial proposals.

Lead technical discussions, develop solutions, and negotiate commercially with customers.

Manage the entire sales process from opportunity identification through order closure, project execution support, and payment realization.

Territory Management:

Oversee customer accounts across Karnataka with a strong focus on mining and mineral processing operations.

Maintain up-to-date business intelligence, market insights, and competitive information.

Develop and implement account growth strategies for key customers.

Commercial & Operational Support:
-
Support receivables management and payment follow-up.
-
Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Service teams to meet customer requirements.

Manage dealer and channel partner activities within the territory.

Travel Requirements:
-
Extensive travel across Karnataka is required, with more than 50% of time spent at customer locations and mining sites.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

5-7 years of experience in technical sales of industrial equipment, preferably pumps, slurry pumps, or mineral processing equipment.

Proven ability to manage the complete sales cycle independently, including technical and commercial discussions.

Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Karnataka (50%+ travel).
Requirements

Nice-to-haves:

Experience with pump OEMs and selling slurry pumps or related mining equipment.

Existing customer network within mining and mineral processing industries, especially in Karnataka.

Experience handling both capital equipment and aftermarket/spares sales.

Strong territory and key account management experience.
