Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in sales support, business development, commercial analysis, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for report preparation, data analysis, and commercial proposal development
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for professional presentations and client-facing materials
• Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in process efficiency and productivity
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in commercial documentation and reporting
• Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and to a high professional standard
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to task management
• Good written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Strong self-motivation, work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Requirements

• Understanding of loan and bond markets, including relevant financial products and transactions
• Experience in market research and commercial pitch material development
• Familiarity with AI analytics and productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot
• Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, such as Insightly
• Strong interest in financial markets and global financial services

Your Daily Tasks

• Support the development and execution of the Business Development team's commercial strategy
• Develop and maintain strategic call plans for senior Sales team members
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities for market share expansion and prospective client acquisition
• Use paid subscription platforms to monitor market trends, new entrants, public transactions, sector performance, sponsor and debt fund strategies, and competitor activity
• Collaborate with product and delivery partners to strengthen brand awareness and communicate the full range of products and services
• Review external market publications and distribute relevant commercial intelligence across the Business Development team
• Collaborate with Marketing to prepare professional pitch materials for senior Sales colleagues and client presentations
• Support senior Sales colleagues during client meetings and coordinate the preparation and distribution of post-meeting call reports
• Prepare fee proposals for new business opportunities and coordinate with Business Development colleagues to ensure consistent pricing
• Monitor outstanding fee proposals daily and conduct periodic follow-ups
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to support transactions, meetings, and presentations
• Present weekly updates on transaction activity and client meetings to the Head of Business Development
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date management information in internal CRM and reporting systems, including Insightly
• Support senior Sales colleagues with CRM entries, including fee proposals and client events
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports on financial performance and key sales metrics
• Analyze and report on loan and bond portfolios, including transaction parties, asset classes, sectors, and geographic distribution
• Compile CRM reports for weekly and quarterly meetings with relevant internal teams
• Coordinate internal approvals for products or services outside established Terms of Reference, including presentations to senior management committees
• Complete C6 due diligence checks on prospective transaction parties
• Review nondisclosure agreements and provide comments to facilitate access to information required for commercial quotations
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of service offerings and unique selling propositions
