Role Description

ST Engineering iDirect's Manufacturing Competence Center (MCC) is a contract electronics manufacturer specialising in high-complexity PCB assembly and systems integration for defence, medical, and space markets. We are looking for a second Sales Manager to expand our commercial reach. This is not a support role or an account maintenance position. You will own a portfolio of accounts and prospects, develop new business in our core markets, and work with our existing Sales Manager within a commercial team that is being deliberately professionalised.

Responsibilities

• New business development: Identify, approach, and develop new customer relationships in MCC's core markets.
• Account ownership: Own a defined portfolio of accounts from first contact through to long-term relationship.
• Quotation leadership: Lead the commercial conversation around quotations and gather customer context that informs pricing.
• Pipeline and forecast management: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date picture of your pipeline and communicate it clearly to the Sales team and Plant Director.
• Market intelligence: Stay close to the competitive landscape in your market segments and bring back intelligence on customer perceptions and competitor actions.
• Internal collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Customer Success Engineer, Project Manager Sales, and purchasing.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in B2B sales in a manufacturing or technical environment — ideally electronics, EMS, or a related industrial sector.
• Understanding of the sales cycle for high-complexity, low-to-medium volume production.
• Comfortable talking to engineers, procurement managers, and business owners.
• Experience managing your own pipeline with discipline.
