Role Description
We’re hiring a Sales Manager to lead a team of Account Executives winning new business across the UK. This isn’t a caretaker role. We want someone who drives accountability into every part of the team’s operating rhythm, who is highly active on the floor, and who reps can rely on without exception. Someone who is unimpeachably dependable to their team and to the number.
This is a high-growth seat. We’re not hiring someone to sit at Sales Manager for three years. We’re hiring someone who can prove they can run a number and a team, and then take on more.
You’ll own the day-to-day performance of your AE team:
-
Coaching, forecasting, deal support and pipeline discipline.
-
Know your numbers cold, hold your reps to the standard, and hold yourself to a higher one.
Your key focus areas will be:
-
Own your team’s number. Not track it, own it. You are accountable for hitting monthly and quarterly targets, and you hold your AEs to the same standard.
-
Run daily pipeline visibility. You should know where every deal in your team stands, not find out in a forecast call.
-
Conduct regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, forecast meetings and coaching sessions that change behaviour, not just record it.
-
Recruit, onboard and develop AE talent. Build a bench, don’t just fill seats.
-
Build a culture where accountability is the norm, not the exception.
-
Get in the deal when it matters. Support your team through complex sales cycles, tough negotiations and senior customer conversations.
-
Keep Salesforce accurate. Close dates, ARR, next steps. If it’s not on there properly, it’s not real.
-
Read the metrics and act on them before they become a problem, not after.
-
Work closely with SDRs and Marketing to make sure pipeline generation and conversion both hold up.
-
Partner with Enablement to sharpen methodology, messaging and product knowledge across the team.
-
Feed customer insight and market feedback back to Product and Customer Success.
-
Use AI tools properly to drive productivity, both your own and your team’s.
-
Build a positive, inclusive team environment where people want to do their best work.
Qualifications
-
Experience leading high-performing SaaS sales teams in a B2B environment, with a track record of hitting the number, not just being close to it.
-
Proven ability to coach and develop reps, with evidence you’ve actually moved someone’s performance, not just managed them.
-
Experience managing complex sales cycles with mid-market and/or SMB customers.
-
Strong forecasting and pipeline discipline. You should be comfortable being asked hard questions about your numbers and having a straight answer.
-
A data-driven approach to decisions. Gut feel isn’t good enough on its own.
-
Excellent stakeholder management across Marketing, SDR, RevOps, CS and Enablement.
-
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, direct and to the point.
-
Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
-
A genuine drive to develop people and build something, not just manage what already exists.
-
High activity levels. This is a hands-on, floor-based role. You lead from the front.
Requirements
-
Experience selling HR, payroll, workforce management or HCM software.
-
Experience in a high-growth tech/SaaS environment.
-
Experience using AI tools within the sales process to drive productivity.
Benefits
-
Work in a remote-first environment, giving you the autonomy to do your best work while delivering meaningful outcomes.
-
Be trusted to own your work, make decisions, and have a real impact from day one.
-
Access cutting-edge AI tools and technology that help you move faster, think bigger, and amplify your expertise.
-
Surround yourself with ambitious, high-performing teammates who will challenge, support and inspire you to do the best work of your career.

-
Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including generous parental leave, subsidised egg freezing, a home office allowance, and outstanding learning and development opportunities to support your growth.
-
