Role Description
We're looking for a Sales Engineer who can connect the technical capabilities of rater8 to the real-world needs of healthcare organizations.
-
Partner directly with our sales team on opportunities involving EHR integrations, data flows, security requirements, complex organizational structures, technical workflows, and enterprise deployment.
-
Lead technical discovery, deliver tailored product demonstrations, answer difficult technical questions, and help prospects understand how rater8 will work within their environment.
-
Work at the intersection of Sales, Product, Engineering, and the customer.
-
Earn credibility with IT and security teams while understanding the commercial aspects of moving opportunities forward.
Success isn't measured by how many technical calls you attend, but by the impact of your presence.
-
Uncover technical requirements earlier.
-
Deliver better demonstrations.
-
Reduce unnecessary friction in enterprise evaluations.
-
Give prospects confidence that rater8 can work within their organization.
-
Help build a more scalable technical sales motion.
Qualifications
-
3+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
-
Experience supporting complex SaaS sales cycles.
-
Healthcare SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
-
Experience working with health systems, medical groups, DSOs, hospitals, or other complex healthcare organizations is a significant plus.
-
Strong technical discovery and product demonstration skills.
-
Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, data exchange, authentication, SSO, and modern SaaS architecture.
-
Familiarity with EHR/EMR environments and healthcare interoperability.
-
Understanding of HIPAA, security reviews, SOC 2, and the expectations of enterprise healthcare IT teams.
-
The ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders.
-
RFP Ownership Experience.
-
Strong judgment—knowing when to answer, when to dig deeper, and when to bring in Product or Engineering.
-
A commercial mindset—understanding that technical expertise is most valuable when it helps customers make confident buying decisions.
Requirements
