Role Description

Our growing team is seeking a Sales Director located within the states of North Carolina or South Carolina to lead a team of Direct Sales Representatives within the assigned territory. While this is a home-based role, travel is required.

• Manages a direct sales team responsible for selling assigned products and services within a designated geographic region or industry segment.
• Leads a team accountable for self-generating all business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and other outbound business development activities.
• Develops revenue, volume, and market share objectives for the assigned team and market area.
• Establishes and achieves sales and budget goals and executes effective marketing strategies for the products and services sold.
• Builds and maintains profitable customer relationships.
• Identifies and monitors market trends and competitor activity to strengthen the team’s competitive position.
• Develops and administers the annual budget for the assigned area.
• Cultivates relationships with industry associations and community networks to expand market opportunities.
• Trains, motivates, coaches, and provides daily leadership to the assigned sales team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• Typically eight to 10 years of relevant experience
• Ability to travel

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
• Effective customer service/relations skills
• Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
• Ability to make important decisions independently
