[Hiring] Public Sector Sales Director @Resultant

Role Description

Drive new business growth across Resultant’s Public Sector practice, developing and executing strategies for priority markets and accounts.

• Build trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders, including agency executives, CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and program leaders.
• Identify, develop, and close complex consulting and technology opportunities across data, AI, cloud, digital transformation, and modernization.
• Own the full sales lifecycle, from early opportunity identification and qualification through solution development, procurement, negotiation, and close.
• Navigate public-sector procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, contract vehicles, and strategic partnerships.
• Partner with consulting, technical, delivery, and proposal teams to develop compelling solutions that address client challenges and mission priorities.
• Develop opportunities proactively, building relationships and shaping solutions ahead of formal procurement wherever possible.
• Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline while providing accurate forecasting and clear pursuit strategies.
• Represent Resultant within the public-sector community through industry events, conferences, partnerships, and executive networks.
• Deliver against revenue, bookings, pipeline, and new-client growth objectives while developing long-term strategic relationships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience selling consulting, technology, data, digital transformation, or professional services into the US public sector.
• A strong track record of developing and closing complex, high-value opportunities.
• Experience selling into state and local government, with an established network of relationships strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of government procurement and contracting processes.
• Experience navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with executive-level government stakeholders.
• Experience developing opportunities proactively rather than relying solely on published RFPs.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to qualify where Resultant should — and shouldn't — invest pursuit resources.
• Experience working collaboratively with consulting, technical, delivery, and proposal teams.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive-engagement skills.
• The ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into compelling business and mission outcomes.
