Role Description

The Pro Product Sales Specialist is responsible for assisting customers throughout the sales process for complex projects leveraging product expertise, including:

• Product selection
• Measurements
• Takeoffs from construction plans and designs
• Coordinating transactions with Outside Sales Representatives
• Providing post-sales support as needed

This role partners closely with the field Outside Sales team to:

• Identify high value opportunities
• Assist in closing sales
• Leverage product offerings in the vendor direct, FDC, and DFC network as our primary assortment

The Pro Product Sales Specialist will:

• Train and coach Outside Sales Representatives on product specifics related to complex projects
• Capture additional share of wallet
• Visit job sites alongside the outside salesforce to engage with customers and meet their needs

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
• Strong understanding of customer project needs in Flooring, Kitchen/Bath, Millwork, or exterior projects
• Experience in product selection, project coordination, and quoting processes
• Prior experience in the construction/home improvement industry
• Prior experience managing residential home improvement install projects
• Comfortable leading training sessions and supporting Outside Sales Representatives with ongoing development
• Excellent presentation, negotiating, and influencing skills
