[Hiring] Pre-Sales Solution Consultant @Certara

Role Description

Certara is hiring a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant based in Japan focusing on driving growth for Certara’s existing and future solutions, supporting the Enterprise Account Managers provide valuable solutions to our Enterprise Life Sciences customers. The ideal candidate will be located in or near Tokyo, Japan.

In this role, he or she will:

• Build and maintain a thorough understanding of Certara products and services.
• Work closely with the team locally and globally to manage and grow our existing business through our direct sales model.
• Leverage other Certara strategic partners as needed in the process.
• Be involved in early discussions with prospective customers to understand their business objectives.
• Design a technical solution that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
• Adopt the technical infrastructure required for implementation.

This is a highly customer-facing position requiring a unique mix of:

• Scientific, technical, and business process skills.
• Presentation and communication skills in the technical sales process.

Travel to customer and partner sites is required. This position can be remote or at the Certara Japan office in Tokyo.

Scientific industry knowledge, including:

• Understanding and uncovering key requirements.

Strong initiative, self-motivation, and collaborative skills are essential for working with team members within and externally to Certara. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A strong complex technical sales aptitude.
• A willingness to grow our business utilizing complex sales methodologies and approaches.
• A keen awareness of organizational growth initiatives related to the life science market and target customer segments.

Ultimately, the Solution Consultant is responsible for:

• Bookings and revenue growth through value creation for our customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Solution Specialist within the pharmaceutical and enterprise B2B SaaS and/or Services industries.
• Bachelor’s degree or above (in a science discipline) or advanced business degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Japanese.
• Exceptional presentation skills in customer meetings, face-to-face, or online, as well as at trade shows and large audiences.
• Attention to detail and uncovering hidden customer requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Able to fully utilize the MS Office suite (Excel/Word/PPT).
