Duran Insurance Agency, a growing State Farm agency in McLean, Virginia, is looking for a motivated, personable, and results-driven Part-Time Sales Representative to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced sales professional who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and achieving results, but prefers a schedule that offers more balance and flexibility.

As a Sales Representative, you'll help individuals and families understand their insurance needs, recommend appropriate coverage, and make confident decisions about protecting what matters most. You'll work with incoming inquiries, referrals, and new prospects while actively developing additional business through outbound calls and consistent follow-up.

What You'll Do

• Connect with prospective customers through inbound inquiries, referrals, outbound calls, and follow-up.
• Guide customers through discovery, quoting, coverage recommendations, closing, and policy issuance.
• Sell Auto, Home, Renters, Life, Health, and other appropriate insurance products.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities and help existing customers address coverage gaps.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, quotes, follow-ups, and applications in our agency system.
• Meet established sales activity expectations and production goals appropriate to your scheduled hours.
• Follow a structured sales process and take ownership of opportunities through completion, including coordinating follow-up coverage when off duty.
• Participate in regular coaching, product training, and performance development.
• Collaborate with our service and administrative team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales experience preferred. Experience in insurance, financial services, automotive sales, or another sales-driven industry is welcome.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable learning new systems, managing a sales pipeline, and working toward clear goals.
• Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses are required before the first day of employment.
• Candidates who are not currently licensed are welcome to apply if willing and able to obtain both licenses before starting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly base pay.

Schedule & Location

Part-time | 20–30 hours per week | In-office in McLean or remote with experience/ Tysons, Virginia. We offer flexibility in arranging a consistent part-time schedule within our business hours. Although the schedule is flexible, reliability, consistent sales activity, customer follow-through, and achieving established performance expectations remain essential.
