Role Description
GE Vernovaβs Power Conversion business provides electrification systems that are critical to customersβ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. The Marine Services Application Engineer will lead technical proposal development for services offering to Marine segment customers, including modernizations/upgrades/preventive/corrective maintenance, training, and parts. The Marine Services Application Engineer will review customer technical requirements and apply GE Vernova Power Conversion solutions to ensure an optimized customer experience.
Responsibilities

Perform application engineering and maintain responsibility for the Power Conversion Marine Services solutions portfolio.

Lead development of technical solutions in support of sales pursuits.

Interface with sales manager and/or business development team to develop competitive technical value propositions addressing customer challenges.

Lead engineering and project teams to develop accurate technical proposals and cost estimates for services solutions.

Manage key solution development across the Power Conversion Marine Segment, including solutions for propulsion, power management, controls and automation, dynamic positioning, and asset performance monitoring.

Lead the GE commercial technical risk process and all aspects of the Inquiry to Order process.

Work with sourcing to develop 3rd party industrial partners to enhance growth opportunities.

Support customer meetings to demonstrate technical solution differentiation.

Work to optimize technical solutions and enhance margins.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) or equivalent technical degree.

Minimum 8 years of technical experience (Controls & Automation, Power Electronics, Power Management and Generation).

Experience developing and delivering maritime technical solutions including Offshore segment, Merchant segment, United States Navy, and United States Coast Guard.
Desired Characteristics

Direct engineering experience with large complex systems in Marine Electric Propulsion and/or Electrical Power Management and Distribution.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Strong track record of working with cross-functional teams.

Strong technical knowledge of electrical solutions, including automation, low & medium-voltage motors, and variable speed drives.

Well-rounded business acumen β commercial, technical, and project management knowledge.

Graduate degree in Engineering.

Prior technical sales experience.
