[Hiring] Field Sales Engineer @Braemac

Role Description

The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for selling company products and services to the customers in an assigned territory. This is a remote position; the ideal candidate will be located in the Southern California (Orange County / LA / San Diego).

• Create new opportunities, registrations, and design wins for the defined territory by generating/pursuing business leads and calling on customers.
• Establish relationships and win product orders to achieve sales objectives.
• Work with local and regional suppliers to create a partnership that positions the company as the primary distributor of choice.
• Attend supplier’s trainings to pass along product knowledge to customers.
• Partner and collaborate with the Inside Sales and Marketing teams to devise a strategy for penetrating DTAM accounts within the assigned territory.
• Create credibility with customers by attending/conducting product training and understanding their needs.
• Pursue new business leads using all available resources, including reps, trade shows, networking, and internal resources.
• Follow through on every level of the sales cycle for key customers by maintaining communication and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Answer and resolve all key customer technical questions, problems, and complaints in a timely manner.
• Maintain market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends, and new concepts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (AE/EE/MSEE) with a minimum of five years’ sales experience in a similar industry.
• Previous knowledge or work experience in the Rep industry is preferred.

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of technical engineering sales.
• Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and be insurable by the Companies’ liability carrier.
