Role Description

Mims Financial Services is seeking motivated, client-focused professionals for a remote Life Insurance Sales Consultant opportunity. In this role, you will:

• Communicate with prospective clients to understand their coverage needs.
• Explain available insurance options and guide applicants through the application process.
• Conduct consultations primarily by phone or video.

Qualifications

• An active state Life and Health insurance license, or willingness to obtain the license(s) required for the products and jurisdictions served.
• Strong verbal communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to explain insurance concepts in a clear, professional manner.
• A consultative sales approach and consistent follow-up habits.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Comfort using CRM software, video conferencing, and other digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Commitment to ethical sales practices, client privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Previous insurance or financial services experience is welcome but not required.
• Candidates with transferable experience in sales, hospitality, education, customer service, or the military are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid entirely through commissions.
• No base salary, hourly wage, or guaranteed minimum income.
• Commission advances and renewal compensation may be available under applicable agency and carrier agreements.
• Chargebacks may apply to certain canceled or lapsed policies under applicable agreements.
• Contractors should review the applicable agreement to understand responsibility for licensing, training, technology, lead purchases, and other expenses.
