[Hiring] Area Sales Manager @WALTER GROUP

Role Description

We are now looking for a Sales Manager to drive business development across the North of England. In this role, you will work with customers ranging from SMEs to large international organisations, identifying new opportunities, building long-term partnerships and delivering tailored modular building solutions to meet their needs.

• Driving new business growth by identifying and acquiring customers and distribution partners across your sales area in the North of England
• Building strong, long-term relationships while maintaining and developing existing accounts
• Managing your sales territory independently, including planning and carrying out customer visits
• Presenting our product portfolio and creating customised modular building solutions for a wide range of customer requirements
• Leading contract negotiations and guiding customers through the full sales cycle
• Monitoring market trends, identifying opportunities and contributing to regional sales strategies
• Working closely with internal teams, including Customer Service, Engineering and Finance to deliver the best customer outcomes
• Continuously developing your product and market knowledge through structured training programmes

Qualifications

• Completed technical or business-related education, with a good level of technical understanding
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders
• Independent, self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage a territory effectively from a home-based role
• Commercially aware, ambitious and driven to identify and develop new business opportunities
• Confident using digital tools and CRM systems
• Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally internationally (approx. 50%+ travel)
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent command of English
