Role Description

The Appointment Setting Specialist connects with prospective customers through phone calls and emails to arrange introductory meetings. This role focuses on:

• Checking interest and confirming basic fit.
• Booking clear next steps without closing sales.
• Working within the business development team under a team lead.
• Coordinating with sales representatives and other appointment setters.
• Maintaining accurate meeting calendars.
• Working fully remote from home in New York, United States.
• Committing to a 40-hour weekly schedule with varying working days and shift times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• About 1-2 years of appointment setting, outbound calling, lead qualification, or related customer contact experience preferred.
• Familiarity with introductory sales conversations and basic qualification questions.
• Ability to use phone systems, CRM tools, and shared scheduling systems.
• Clear verbal communication and professional email writing skills.
• Ability to listen carefully and handle hesitation respectfully.
• Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet private workspace.
• Availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Review assigned outreach queues, incoming inquiries, and follow-up tasks.
• Make outbound calls, including cold calls, through a Contact-center phone system.
• Ask approved qualification questions to understand a prospect’s business needs.
• Explain the purpose and expected format of the meeting.
• Record contact updates and outcomes in a CRM such as Salesforce.
• Coordinate available meeting slots through a scheduling tool.
• Send clear meeting confirmations and reminders using approved email templates.
• Follow up on unanswered inquiries and missed meetings according to team guidance.
• Hand qualified appointments to sales representatives with concise context.
• Review completed outreach for accuracy and timely responses.
