[Hiring] Territory Sales Representative @Zep Inc.

Role Description

The Territory Sales Representative, with Zep Inc., will have the ability to sell a wide array of products with Excellent Brand Awareness, Strong Brand Identity, and products that offer Truly Superior Solutions.

• Forge new relationships while maintaining current relationships within existing accounts.
• This is a remote position focused on outside sales and face-to-face interactions with clients and prospects.
• Responsible for re-activating prior accounts and bringing in net-new business.
• The territory will cover approximately a 100-mile radius, including some outlying areas.
• Primary responsibilities include:
  • Selling directly to customers through visits, equipment installation, servicing, meetings, and phone calls.
  • Working with distribution partnerships.
• Different skill sets required depending on the industry:
  • Transportation
  • Construction
  • Industrial
• Aggressively drive revenue growth through superior customer service and product knowledge.
• Proactively develop new customer contacts and build long-lasting business relationships.
• Use a route schedule to maximize efficiencies and ensure all customers are seen at correct visit frequencies.
• Daily call ratio ranges from 10-12 calls per day, influenced by time spent with customers, product demonstrations, and appointments.
• Listen to and evaluate customer needs, recommending/developing bundled solutions using a consultative approach.
• Provide minor technical service expertise as needed.
• Use company-provided tablet to enter orders via the Company’s order entry portal.
• Achieve or exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual district budgets.
• Establish, grow, and manage new and existing customer relationships.
• Utilize SalesForce.com for call planning and tracking.
• Use personal vehicle in accordance with TSR mileage program for sales calls.
• Able to work with distribution partners/distributors.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) may include specialized or vocational courses; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One to three years of sales experience.
• Basic technical ability/skills to install and maintain basic dispensing equipment.
• Experience in the following markets preferred:
  • Industrial/Institutional/Construction/Transportation
  • State/Local Government
  • Non-Profit Organizations
  • Municipalities
  • Schools/Universities
