Role Description

The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) for France will be responsible for improving the business potential through increased sustained revenue growth of our GC and GC-MS instrument portfolio and other related product lines according to market demand.

  • Discover potential opportunities within the market and customer segment to improve allegiance and sales revenue.
  • Uncover customer interest in products and drive the Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition from sample to knowledge.
  • Interface and collaborate with key members of the Sales team, CMD Divisional marketing teams, Business Unit Product Management and Marketing, Application support team, and Technical service groups (IES) within CMD.
  • Adopt and live Thermo Fisher 4I values.
  • Drive growth and share the voice of the customer towards the Business Unit.
  • Attend technical collaboration visits to Business Unit manufacturing and R&D sites.
  • Support new Product Introduction (NPI) prospects within territory to increase adoption rates and revenue return.
  • Handle the sales funnel and forecast in collaboration with country leads and their sales teams.
  • Consult with key account managers and internal partners on obtaining customer forecasts for new and existing business.
  • Work on strategies to achieve sales goals and metrics, including value proposition development.
  • Use Thermo Fisher Scientific’s sales tools to efficiently handle accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasting.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor and industry activity; introduce new products and services as available.
  • Some activities outside the French territory are expected.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. degree in Science or Business based fields or relevant experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry instrumentation.
  • Working experience from the routine laboratory environment (food, environmental or industrial) is welcome.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills with the competence to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
