Role Description

This role involves leading the technical team as a Solution Area Sales Manager for ISV customers across EMEA at Microsoft. You will:

  • Lead teams to identify and win over technical decision makers in Business and Tech departments of ISV customers.
  • Drive technical decisions that help customers achieve business value with the Microsoft Cloud Platform.
  • Support customers in evaluating their applications and business requirements.
  • Demonstrate solutions to win technical decisions.
  • Develop a high-performance team through continuous coaching and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement:
    • Ensure teams adhere to sales frameworks and guidelines.
    • Leverage expertise in strategy development to secure complex, high-value deals.
    • Drive collaboration to lead deal orchestration and ensure effective handoffs.
    • Coach team on advancing best practices to obtain customer commitment.
  • People Management and Leadership:
    • Model, coach, and care to deliver success through empowerment and accountability.
    • Define team objectives and outcomes.
    • Attract and retain great people, investing in their growth.
    • Create team goals to drive revenue through sales discipline.
    • Equip team to confidently engage with C-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating Technological and Solution Capabilities:
    • Showcase Microsoft solutions effectively to customers.
    • Lead teams in developing and implementing solutions for Cloud & AI transformations.
    • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for strategic customers.
  • Sales and Presales Strategy & Pipeline Management:
    • Align technical strategy with business outcomes.
    • Coach the team to identify and qualify opportunities.
    • Lead sales pipeline reviews to drive forecasting accuracy.
    • Set strategy for whitespace analysis and identifying business opportunities.
  • Sales Enablement & Collaboration:
    • Partner closely with account teams to co-develop strategic account plans.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
  • 10+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience (including leading virtual/regional teams).
  • 8+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
