Role Description

As a SMB Sales Development Representative at Universal Background Screening, you must be highly driven, competitive, and resilient, someone who thrives on outbound prospecting and creating opportunities from scratch. This role is ideal for early-career sales professionals who are energized by cold calling, motivated by results, and eager to build a career in sales.

You will be on the front lines of our growth strategy—owning high-volume outreach, engaging small and mid-sized businesses, and consistently building a strong pipeline through persistence and hustle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Highly competitive, self-motivated and results driven mindset
• Comfortable with high-volume cold-calling and rejection
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Demonstrate strong listening skills by identifying pain points and aligning solutions to customer needs
• Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain high daily activity levels
• Coachable with a desire to improve and win

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (preferred)
• 6-24 months of sales, customer service or high-volume outbound sales experience (preferred)
• Exposure to CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Outreach (preferred)
• Demonstrated success in high-activity outbound prospecting environments (preferred)
• Experience working in fast paced, metrics driven environments (preferred)
