Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Director of Renewals to own, refine, and drive the renewal strategy for our client base. This leader will wake up every day focused on protecting and growing our recurring revenue, ensuring our customers renew with confidence, and contributing directly to our mission of delivering mental health support at scale.

  • Build and execute strategies that proactively protect and grow recurring revenue; manage a book of high tough renewals as a player/coach role
  • Manage, coach, and scale a team responsible for renewal execution ensuring they are equipped to manage conversations, remove friction, and close renewals on time
  • Develop and own a forward-looking renewal playbook that anticipates risks and engages clients early, reducing surprises at renewal time
  • Build and leverage data-driven insights to forecast, identify churn patterns, segment accounts, and tailor proactive strategies that drive retention and expansion
  • Lead renewal forecasting and pipeline management to ensure predictability and transparency of retention performance across the business
  • Work cross-functionally to monitor accounts, identify upsell opportunities, and ensure expansion signals are acted on through automation and human-led plays
  • Build systems and processes to identify churn risks early, communicate trends to leadership, and drive action plans across the business
  • Ensure renewal offers and strategies reflect a deep understanding of customer goals, product usage, and desired outcomes anchoring conversations in value and impact
  • Collaborate with the product team to share renewal insights and help shape the roadmap based on customer needs and retention drivers

Qualifications

  • You’ve successfully owned renewal or recurring revenue strategy at scale and know how to set vision, goals, and pathways for improvement
  • You bring empathy, high emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of how to connect customer goals to product value
  • You thrive on moving the needle on renewal and churn metrics, and can translate big goals into daily, actionable execution
  • You anticipate risks before they happen and put strategies in place that drive retention ahead of contract deadlines
  • You ground decisions in data, and know how to build, interpret, and act on metrics that lead to measurable results
  • You are familiar and intimate with the US healthcare ecosystem and how Modern Health fits in; Global Benefits experience is a plus
  • You see patterns in data, build systems to track them, and translate insights into clear actions that improve performance
  • You’re a strong communicator who can motivate internal teams and transform customer conversations into outcomes
  • You’ve managed and scaled high-performing teams, set stretch goals, and coached people to exceed expectations
  • You balance customer advocacy with strong commercial acumen, able to connect utilization, business outcomes, and contract value
  • You’re skilled at implementing processes and systems that scale, without losing sight of individual customer experiences
