Role Description

Our client is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (Full-Cycle) to join their growing sales team and take ownership of the full sales process, from initial outreach through to signed contract, within the South African brick-and-mortar retail sector. In this role, you will sell an integrated commerce and payments ecosystem, leading with a payment terminal solution that includes built-in loyalty functionality, and expanding into broader commerce solutions where relevant. This is a true full-cycle role covering:

• Prospecting
• Discovery
• Demonstrations
• Proposals
• Closing

You will engage with QSR chains, grocery retailers, pharmacies, DIY/hardware stores, and franchise networks. This is an opportunity to go beyond selling software, helping retailers transform everyday transactions into meaningful customer relationships and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ sales experience, with exposure to full-cycle selling
• Experience selling into brick-and-mortar retail, franchise, QSR, grocery, or FMCG sectors
• Involvement in deals from prospecting through to close
• Ability to independently close smaller deals (R50K–R500K ARR)
• Strong commercial acumen, including building ROI-driven proposals
• Strong CRM discipline with accurate pipeline management and forecasting
• Based in Cape Town, with willingness to travel nationally
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport

Requirements

• Experience in payments, POS, retail technology, or loyalty platforms (Nice to Have)
• Existing relationships within South African retail or FMCG sectors (Nice to Have)
• Familiarity with SPIN selling methodology (Nice to Have)
• Experience with land-and-expand sales strategies (Nice to Have)
• Understanding of sales tools and outbound prospecting techniques (Nice to Have)

Benefits

• Salary: R25 000 – R35 000 per month (dependent on qualifications and experience) + commission
