Role Description
This role involves expanding Color's presence in the public sector market through strategic sales efforts.
- Build and nurture relationships with large public sector plans, becoming a trusted partner and advisor.
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow Color’s presence within the government space.
- Create a pipeline of target SLED clients and autonomously drive deals from initial discovery stages to win/close.
- Attend labor & public sector conferences, trade shows, and events as needed to spread awareness of Color and build relationships.
- Lead effective presentations and discussions to educate stakeholders on Color’s competitive advantages and value propositions.
- Negotiate contracts and manage complex sales processes.
- Conduct market research to identify key opportunities and ensure Color's solutions align with the unique needs of public sector plans.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Consultant Relations and Marketing to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and support.
- Foster a collaborative and solution-driven culture in your team that encourages accountability, innovation, and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of direct sales experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions, ideally in the benefits space (SaaS, human capital management, health and welfare benefits, etc., preferred).
- 5+ years of direct sales experience specific to Public Sector.
- Resilience to withstand long lead times and government budgeting and procurement practices.
- Crisp written and verbal communicator with the demonstrated ability to articulate complex ideas to a wide-ranging audience.
- Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance against goals.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within tight time constraints.
- Ability to establish strong team relationships and collaborate in a matrix organization as well as develop solutions proactively and independent of supervision.
