Role Description

Reporting to the Manager, National Channel, the National Account Manager (NAM) will be responsible for contributing to a business strategy for the territory that expands K-12 and Enterprise sales coverage throughout North America, with a focus on CDW, as well as additional National Service Providers as needed.

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by establishing and leveraging business relationships, marketing and sales programs, and other SMART resources.
  • Work directly with end users to advance sales opportunities.
  • Monitor the progress of large K-12 adoptions as well as daily run rate business.
  • Facilitate cross-functional actions between the SMART North America Area Managers to support CDW and end users.
  • Understand key metrics and ensure those metrics are successfully met to drive the NSP team to hit revenue, IFP, and SLS unit targets.
  • Help forecast business from NSPs and end customers with regular accurate updates to your Manager.

Qualifications

  • Degree in education, business, marketing or a related field
  • At least four years' experience in sales with a successful, fast-paced, technology-driven business
  • CDW account management experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and teams both locally and remotely
  • Demonstrated reasoning and problem-solving abilities with a high level of self-motivation
  • Strong time-management and planning skills
  • High degree of comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to approach tasks with a positive attitude while focusing on results
  • Experience working with and developing relationships across sales channels and end users
  • A valid passport, or no impediment to obtaining one

Requirements

  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong business relationships through proactive account management, including regular face-to-face meetings and communication at a business partner and end user level
  • Demonstrated success in working in a team environment
  • Proven consistent track record for forecasting and meeting targets
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of a channel partner to ensure maximum coverage of all markets
  • An understanding of how to create a territory plan that includes possible strategic changes
  • Contribute to and implement strategic initiatives for your assigned territory that will drive incremental revenue, both from a channel and end user perspective
  • Experience in working with a CRM and using this as a tool to forecast business
  • Supporting channel partners and end-users at local trade shows, seminars, conferences and customer events as needed
