Role Description

Our Consumer Loan Officer works with members virtually and over the phone to take consumer loan applications. This is a sales role, and this individual is responsible for providing superior member service through the loan application process.

Qualifications

• Bilingual skills preferred
• High school graduate / GED required
• 2 years of experience in a financial institution required
• 2 years of sales experience required
• 2 years of customer or member experience required
• 1 year of experience working with loans required
• Interviewing techniques are needed along with familiarity of credit union products and services
• Thorough knowledge of loan underwriting standards and guidelines are needed
• Oral and written communication skills
• General PC skills
• Must be able to complete all required paperwork as needed
• Sound judgment skills required
• Ability to organize workflow and meet deadlines
• Keeping abreast of current guidelines is a necessity
