Role Description
The IT Advisor is positioned to engage with our customers, connecting with the key decision maker for long-term technology planning. Successful service, productive solutions, reliable experience, and confidence in technology investment require long-term planning that the IT Advisor builds with that decision maker.
- Meet with customers on an annual basis or other cadence set by VC3 to discuss findings, issues, and opportunities.
- Produce an ongoing roadmap of outcome-driven technology investments for the customer.
- Identify opportunities for VC3 to improve existing services or add new high-value services.
- Analyze trends in the global marketplace and across the client base to improve alignment of offerings with customer needs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of solid business experience; Technical Account Manager experience preferred.
- 2+ years working in an IT Industry company or technical experience. Managed Services Provider experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent real-world experience.
- Degrees, certifications or other designations in relevant technology or business education is an asset (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft MCP, business management degree with an IT focus, ITCP, or similar).
Requirements
- Business Analysis: Ability to identify and assess a client’s business goals, needs, and perceptions.
- Data Analysis: Experience in assessing internal performance metrics of the client base.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and manage relationships with clients through consistent and proactive communications.
- Collaboration: Networking throughout the organization to address customer needs.
- Consultative Selling: Ability to sell and validate revenue opportunities with an “IT solutions” approach.
- Strong organizational, time management, presentation, and customer service skills.
