Role Description

This dynamic role requires flexibility and a proactive and aggressive approach to stay ahead in a competitive and fast-moving industry. As a Tungsten Scrap Field Buyer, you are responsible for sourcing (Hunting) sources, evaluating quality and purchasing hard and soft scrap materials such as hard for recycling or resale. You will assess material quality, negotiate prices with suppliers, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

  • Solid understanding of various types of Tungsten Scrap.
  • Conduct research and collect data on the tungsten scrap market.
  • Identify regions and develop a plan to secure tungsten scrap, including various sources such as individuals, businesses, scrap yards, and industrial facilities.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to receive material pricing direction.
  • Negotiate material pricing with suppliers, including scrap yards, for hard and soft scrap.
  • Clear understanding of market conditions, market drivers, and market influencers.
  • Facilitate material pickup for delivery to KMT Huntsville.
  • Manage external relationships with tungsten scrap.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School
  • Experience: 3+ years of business experience (Supplier Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Accounting)
  • Proficiency: MS Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Software. SAP (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
