Role Description

We are currently seeking a Field Account Manager for our Lab Products & Services (x|f|m) division home based in the Netherlands (Sartorius Netherlands B.V.). In this position, you will be responsible for a selected number of key account customers within the Life Science market in Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry as well as big Research & Development institutes and laboratories in the Netherlands.

  • Proactively increase our Sales and support of customers for our Lab Products portfolio including lab filtration, microbiology, liquid handling, balances, and water purification systems.
  • Promote and sell the organization's products and services portfolio to pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries on selected accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Understand the customer’s strategy and needs to respond to customer enquiries, set up strategic plans to provide solutions, and suggest products and services as appropriate.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory.
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long-term partnership.

Qualifications

  • University degree (HBO or University) in life sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or similar education.
  • First Sales experience in a B2B environment.
  • Teamwork skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to think and act in a customer-focused way.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and business acumen.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in English; good command of Dutch is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the Netherlands (approx. 60%).
