Role Description

The ideal Enterprise Account Executive will be an experienced salesperson who is comfortable generating sales leads with new clients and maintaining relationships with a few strategic customers. The candidate will be able to understand prospective clients' needs, ask good questions to gain understanding, and drive the process.

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Set and exceed sales quotas
  • Prospect clients and understand their needs
  • Strategically build and expand assigned territory
  • Introduce products/services to prospective clients/customers
  • Foster ongoing relationships with clients
  • Accurate forecasting and deal qualification
  • Negotiate agreements
  • 90% of time spent working with new prospects, 10% maintaining and expanding existing customers
  • Travel in territory (25-50%)
  • Attend conferences that help build and establish territory

Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience as a SaaS Enterprise Account Executive preferably in GovTech or in a SLED product
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of the sales process
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them
  • Knowledge of principles of marketing and research
  • Excellent listening skills (especially with clients)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Hunter mentality to find new business and maintain it
  • Possessing good business acumen
  • Past/present experience selling SaaS based solutions (state, local, county or city selling experience a plus)
  • Experience working with RFPs and government contracts
  • Excellent sales hygiene and follow up
  • Coachable and open to constructive feedback
  • BA/BS preferred
