Role Description

We’re looking for a Corporate Account Executive to sell into new and existing organizations with 1000+ employees as we aggressively expand the Zendesk footprint within this customer segment. As a Corporate Account Executive, you will partner with an Enterprise / Commercial Account Executive (AE) on a joint territory strategy and carry quota (MBO) for the transactional business and transactional inquiry in our Enterprise and Commercial accounts.

  • Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations including live demonstrations of Zendesk via presentation
  • Initiate outbound campaigns using primarily email and phone calls to generate your own leads
  • Respond to small simple inquiries from customers in a timely manner
  • Prepare sales proposals, product presentations, and independently manage your own sales activities
  • Exceed revenue and sales goals
  • Close small deals within large complex environments
  • Work with your Account Executive teammates to develop strategy and objectives for each account in order to identify and quantify expansion opportunities
  • Coordinate with Zendesk partners in support of the aforementioned sales and account management efforts
  • Follow Zendesk sales processes, tracking all critical sales cycle milestones, and maintain a detailed understanding of the status of a deal at every stage of the process, including legal sales process, contract negotiation, etc.
  • Effectively advise and influence customers through consultative selling techniques

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years outbound prospecting experience and 1+ years of software selling experience preferred; SaaS experience is a plus!
  • Ability to learn and understand SaaS solutions and services
  • Effective sales presentation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Selling/Closing across all organizational levels
  • Ambitious, compelling, and professional sales presence using email, telephone and video conferencing
  • High level of personal motivation
  • Experience in lead generation and cold calling
  • Consistent track record of success with quota
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles using solution selling techniques
  • Proficiency using Salesforce is a plus!
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites when necessary
