Role Description

Colony Display is searching for sales leaders in creating custom retail displays, fixtures, and commercial environments. We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and help drive sales growth within our target markets.

  • Servicing the northeastern United States
  • Play a key role in expanding our business across multiple product lines and services
  • Identify new opportunities to build relationships and close deals
  • Contribute to the overall success of our company

Responsibilities

  • Master Our Product Portfolio: Learn and present Colony’s full range of products, focusing on Custom Store Fixtures, Shop-In-Shop, and POP/Visual Merchandising displays.
  • Create Targeted Sales Plans: Develop sales strategies tailored to target accounts and markets, emphasizing Customer Store Fixtures and Shop-in-Ship Solutions.
  • Drive Account Pursuit: Pursue target accounts, establish and continuously build relationships to gather insight and collaborate with internal teams to craft winning proposals and presentations.
  • Utilize Diverse Sales Techniques: Engage prospects using phone, email, direct mail, networking, public speaking, and more to create new business opportunities.
  • Manage Incoming Opportunities: Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and inquiries, evaluating each to maximize potential and align with the client’s needs.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with internal teams to align on project requirements, timetables, budget, and delivery to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Report on Progress: Provide weekly updates on meetings, opportunities, project development, and forecasts to drive strategic insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • 7 to 10 years of Sales Management experience with a record of driving brand growth and sealing the deal
  • Skilled in building connections, networking creatively, and delivering standout presentations
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and Salesforce; familiarity with the store fixture or retail/apparel industries is a plus
  • Travel-ready to connect with clients and drive business growth
  • Eye for detail, positive mindset, and loves collaborating
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent with words—written, spoken, and everything in between
