Role Description

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Research Collaborator to assist Dr. Kevin Lillehei, with the collating and analysis of the clinical data accumulated within the multi-disciplinary Pituitary Program, over the last several decades. This position will require the individual to review clinical data, perform analysis, and independently review its importance with regard to clinical impact. Functions will include assistance, and often the lead, in manuscript preparation and submission.

• Collaborate with and support clinical and research personnel, and other stakeholders, within the Pituitary Program.
• Perform scientifically rigorous data management and bioinformatic analyses.
• Develop and disseminate a variety of tools designed to access relevant clinical and sample data.
• Creatively and effectively integrate data from multiple sources to accelerate discoveries.
• Independently and creatively identify bioinformatic and data management solutions.
• Provide biostatistical/data science expertise and leadership in study design, study oversight, data management, data analysis, and manuscript preparation to assist all levels of biomedical investigators and clinicians on new research activities across a wide range of disciplines.
• Serve as a resource to PIs and other stakeholders.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert and authority in the area(s) of Neurosciences.
• New grant application data analysis for clinical trial design and power calculations.
• Additional grant and publication assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous CU Employee, knowledge of CU system, applications, and policies.
• Currently a Retiree on the ORP with the University of Colorado Anschutz as a faculty member.
• MD degree in a field directly related to the work assignment, with a working knowledge of Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science or related field.

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience as a previous faculty member at the rank of Professor from any track/series.
• 30+ years of experience in Neuropathology.

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

• HIRING RATE: This is an hourly position $112.18/hr - $225.00/hr.
• Up to a maximum yearly amount of $35,000.
