Role Description

During your work as a Senior Chemist at aquila biolabs, you will:

• Conceptualize new chemosensors and sensing methods
• Prototype these chemosensors in our labs
• Develop and optimize matrix formulations for chemosensors
• Develop, optimize and scale manufacturing processes and QC routines for chemosensors

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and surface chemistry
• Practical experience with polymer synthesis, purification, and characterization
• Practical experience with the development of functional materials, e.g. hydrogels, thin films, surface functionalization
• Practical experience with standard preparative, analytical and safety lab equipment
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking and mindset
• Ability to work and learn autonomously and efficiently
• Ability and deep interest to work and perform research interdisciplinarily

Requirements

• Hold a scientific or engineering Master’s or PhD degree in the fields of organic and polymer chemistry
• Persons from other fields with suitable skillset and strong chemical background are encouraged to apply
