[Hiring] Research Consultant - to conduct qualitative research on Inequality @Oxfam Ireland

Role Description

Oxfam Ireland is seeking an experienced Research Consultant to lead a qualitative research project exploring the realities of inequality among young people aged 18 to 35 in Ireland. This work forms part of a wider European study spanning six countries and will contribute to understanding how young people experience inequality, view their future prospects, and engage with democratic institutions.

• Recruit participants
• Facilitate five in-person focus groups
• Analyse the findings
• Produce a concise report capturing the key themes, narratives, and lived experiences emerging from the discussions

Qualifications

• Strong qualitative research skills
• Excellent facilitation and report-writing experience
• Genuine interest in issues such as inequality, social justice, cost of living, housing, climate change, and civic participation
• Experience applying feminist principles within research is particularly valued

Requirements

• This is a short-term consultancy expected to require approximately 15 days' work between September and November
• Total budget of up to €7,000
