[Hiring] Policy Analyst @Halcyon

Role Description

Work on Halcyon’s cutting edge research team as a Policy Analyst. This is a full-time, entry-level role ideal for a recent graduate interested in energy.

This role will start as a full-time, 8-week contract and will be converted to full-time based on performance and mutual fit.

Key Responsibilities

• QA data generated by the Halcyon platform, checking accuracy, completeness and consistency before it reaches customers.
• Partner with the data science team to own a topical area, such as battery energy storage systems (BESS) or substations, tracking developments and keeping coverage current.
• Spot trends, anomalies and opportunities, and recommend actions.
• Improve data quality by flagging gaps and working with owners to fix them.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate - 2 year experience; jobs, internships, or projects in electric power are a plus.
• A strong interest in energy: the grid, storage, generation and the policies that shape electricity markets.

Benefits

• $50,000 to $70,000 USD base, dependent on experience.
