[Hiring] Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Contractor @United Response

Role Description

Join our Communication, Involvement and Engagement Team as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Contractor and play a key role in measuring the impact of our Democracy Champions programme.

The MEL Contractor will provide hands-on technical support to refine and deliver the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework for the Democracy Champions programme, ensuring high-quality data collection, robust impact evaluation and actionable insights within a short timeframe.

• Democracy Champions is a community-led, co-designed train-the-trainer programme and a key part of the My Vote My Voice (MVMV) campaign.
• MVMV brings together over 240 organisations to support people with learning disabilities and autistic people to participate actively in democratic processes.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Theory of Change models and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience working with people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people, ideally in social care, health or community settings.
• Skills in designing accessible research methods, including Easy Read surveys, interviews and participatory evaluation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, accessible recommendations.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and collaborate with colleagues, partners, funders and people with lived experience.

Requirements

• Demonstrated previous experience delivering MEL, impact measurement or evaluation projects.
• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in evaluation, social research, public policy, social impact, public health or a related field is desirable.
