[Hiring] International Consultant: Technical Review, Data Analysis and Reporting of Assessment on Children with Disabilities @AGORA

Role Description

The consultant will provide technical leadership and quality assurance support for the assessment of children with disabilities and their households. The assignment will focus on:

• Strengthening disability measurement
• Estimating disability-related costs
• Supporting disability-inclusive data collection
• Generating evidence to inform the design of a Disability Support Programme for Children with Disabilities in Bhutan

The consultant will work closely with the national consultant, government counterparts, UNICEF, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of the assignment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, Epidemiology, Development Studies, or related fields
• Minimum 10 years of experience in survey design, disability research, and statistical analysis

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in disability measurement, including UNICEF Child Functioning Module and Washington Group methodologies
• Experience conducting disability prevalence studies
• Experience estimating disability-related costs
• Experience in social protection programme design
• Experience working with UNICEF, UN agencies, governments, or international organizations
• Demonstrated experience of transferring analytical capacity to government counterparts
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong report-writing and communication skills
