[Hiring] Technical CRM & QA Specialist @Tia

Role Description

We are looking for a Technical CRM & QA Specialist to support the reliable execution of our lifecycle email and SMS programs. Working with our lifecycle and engineering teams, you will bring deep Braze expertise to campaign launches, active automations, and technical troubleshooting.

You will QA complex Canvases, validate Liquid logic and message rendering, investigate unexpected behavior, and help ensure messages reach the intended audiences at the right time. This is a part-time contract role averaging approximately 10 hours per week, with potential to grow as our roadmap evolves.

What You’ll Do

• Canvas and campaign QA: Test Braze Canvases and campaigns before launch, including audience segments, triggers, branching paths, and entry and exit criteria.
• Personalization and rendering: Validate Liquid logic, fallback states, email HTML, responsive layouts, dark mode, links, tracking, and UTM parameters across clients and devices.
• SMS QA: Check message content, character counts, GSM-7 and Unicode encoding, shortened links, and opt-out functionality.
• Deployment and monitoring: Review targeting, rate limits, frequency caps, and quiet hours before launch. Monitor audience flow, delivery, and conversion tracking after launch.
• Automation audits: Periodically check active flows to confirm that data inputs, triggers, and messaging behavior remain accurate.
• Technical troubleshooting: Investigate delivery failures, webhook errors, Connected Content issues, data sync discrepancies, and other unexpected Braze behavior.
• Bug documentation: Write clear, reproducible tickets with diagnostic steps, relevant context, and recommended fixes for engineering or other partners.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building, QAing, and troubleshooting Braze Canvases and campaigns, including Segmenter, Connected Content, custom attributes, and custom events.
• Advanced Liquid scripting skills, including conditional logic, arrays, loops, and fallback handling.
• Experience with email HTML and CSS, cross-client rendering, and technical SMS requirements.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON payloads, and data flows into CRM platforms.
• Experience developing QA checklists, diagnosing lifecycle messaging issues, and documenting bugs in Jira, Asana, or a similar tool.
• Availability for approximately 10 hours per week, including light overlap for weekly meetings and launch reviews.

Nice to have

• Braze Administrator or Developer certification.
• Experience with Amplitude, Segment, Snowflake, Redash, or similar tools.
• Basic SQL skills for validating user profile or event data.

Work Location

This is a remote contract role. Most work can be completed asynchronously, with light synchronous overlap for weekly meetings and launch reviews.

Compensation

Tia is committed to pay equity and pay transparency. Compensation for this role will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs. The expected rate for this part-time contract role is $60–$90 per hour.
