Role Description

We are hiring an SQA Analyst II on the Quality Assurance team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee! In this role, you will support quality assurance for business-critical provider portal and eligibility applications. You will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing test cases
• Identifying and managing defects
• Validating application functionality across integrated systems
• Working closely with application teams and external partners
• Participating in Agile/Scrum delivery activities

This role provides a blend of functional testing and automation, with opportunities to work across:

• UI
• API
• Database
• System integration
• Regression
• End-to-end testing

While helping ensure accurate, high-quality production releases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases, performing functional testing, and identifying, documenting, and managing defects
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver or comparable automation tools such as Playwright, along with familiarity with Java and automation testing practices
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write queries and validate data within databases
• API testing experience and familiarity with API automation tools such as Bruno, REST Assured, or similar technologies
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating effectively with application and technical teams
• The ability to balance hands-on functional testing with automation activities based on application and release needs

Requirements

• Intermediate proficiency in testing strategy document preparation, developing test plans, use of relevant toolsets and defect lifecycle management
• Aligns with and applies BCBST QA best practices to ensure adherence to the policies and procedures
• Creating and executing test scripts for functional, automation and/or performance testing, and deriving testing requirements from functional/business requirements
• Review technical design documents and develop E2E integration test scenarios to verify/validate the impacted components, interfaces and systems
• Identify and create test data, build, and execute services/API validation scripts to ensure the quality of applications delivered by utilizing relevant toolsets
• Document and communicate test status, results at the individual level
• Assist in resolving the issues identified by team members
