Role Description
An e-mobility backend platform is an essential part of a charging infrastructure. An electric vehicle (EV) driver depends on a reliable and error-free infrastructure and applications. Such a need can only be achieved by extensive and regular (automated) testing of all software components. As a result, the EV driver is offered the most worry-free charging experience as possible. Therefore, you make a significant contribution to ensuring the quality of one of the main contact points of an EV driver with our system.
- Drive the test activities within an interdisciplinary agile software development team.
- Retain product and process quality by application of state-of-the-art test methodologies.
- Focus on test automation and ensure that testing remains an integrated and effortless part of daily work.
- Design, implement and maintain automated tests for backend and frontend systems.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and requirement engineers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
- Evaluate reported bugs and approve fixes.
- Share knowledge of testing methodologies and train new colleagues.
- Work with international colleagues in a scaled agile software development program using SAFe methodology and Scrum.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Sciences/Business Informatics or similar education.
- 3+ years of professional experience as Test Automation Engineer.
- Experience with automating functional, integration, and regression tests of microservices, web applications, or web services.
- In-depth knowledge of testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).
- Ideally, experience with cross-platform mobile application frameworks like Capacitor.
- Experience with an industry-standard test automation framework, ideally Cypress or Selenium.
- Knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript and/or TypeScript) and databases (SQL and/or non-SQL).
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) and ideally, with the Agile Tester (CTFL-AT) extension.
- Fluent in English.
- Mobility requirements: As per need – usually 2-4 weeks per year to Germany or similar.

- Team player who enjoys learning new things and communicating.
- Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Ideally, experience in the EV charging business.
