Role Description

This is a full-time job suitable for passionate professionals who want to work for a leading European Insurance Group on a very flexible work schedule. You will work as part of a multinational group with true, large, enterprise-wide systems, complex architectures and real-life constraints (speed, performance, non-stop systems availability) and are going to be part of an agile team aimed at designing and implementing enterprise level solutions.

Contract duration: Permanent

Schedule: Full-time (8 hrs/day, Monday to Friday)

Your responsibilities

  • Analyzing and assessing defects and incidents from a technical perspective
  • Initiating and monitoring escalation processes for relevant defects and incidents
  • Maintaining the defect database, with a focus on data integrity and compliance with guidelines
  • Managing and coordinating cross-location teams
  • Participating in customer meetings and preparing meaningful defect reports
  • Providing internal reporting and status updates
  • Further developing processes and tools to prevent errors and increase efficiency
  • Ensuring that defects are resolved and re-tested on time
  • Analyzing technical errors related to integration with existing products in our IT landscape
  • Executing and expanding tests to make the complete component available in the integration environment
  • Using and integrating tools such as TOSCA, Dynatrace, and Splunk for test execution and technical analysis based on log files and defects
  • Executing technical smoke tests to ensure readiness for functional testing
  • Defining, collecting, and reporting KPIs to support continuous improvement
  • Establishing and managing the deviation process, including root cause analysis, solution planning, and sustainable improvement measures
  • Tracking integrations in releases and test verifications in collaboration with the Value Trains, including automated tests.

Qualifications

  • University degree (Bachelor/Master) in IT or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT project management as well as defect and incident management, ideally in large-scale IT or insurance industry projects
  • Several years of experience across the software development lifecycle
  • Basic knowledge of technologies such as Java, JEE, HTTP, and SQL
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
  • Technical expertise and a strong focus on error analysis
  • Confident user of MS Office as well as planning and project management tools, ideally JIRA and Confluence
  • Expert knowledge of development and testing tools, databases, and IT programming languages across various infrastructure platforms
  • Strong negotiation skills and a professional manner in customer-facing situations
  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
  • Fluent in German (both spoken and written)

  • Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, Safe)
  • Experience in the Insurance field
