[Hiring] Strategic Technology Manager @BETTERHEALTH A PLANNED PARENTHOOD PARTNERSHIP

2wks ago - BETTERHEALTH A PLANNED PARENTHOOD PARTNERSHIP is hiring a remote Strategic Technology Manager. 💸 Salary: usd 88,000 - 96,500 per year 📍Location: USA

Role Description

The Strategic Technology Manager provides day-to-day program management and strategic planning support for the Hybrid Care Initiative. Reporting to the Program Director, this role is responsible for creating and maintaining the integrated workplan, coordinating across stakeholders, departments and workstreams, to drive the development of a new solution that removes barriers to patient care. The role will track risks, dependencies, and decisions, as well as prepare materials for C-suite Advisory Committee members. They will also serve as the day-to-day coordination point with external consulting and other advisory partners.

While the Program Director sets strategic direction and priorities; the Strategic Technology Manager translates that vision into a well-organized, tracked, and documented program of work. The initiative’s scope and structure will evolve over the engagement, so the Strategic Technology Manager should be comfortable operating with ambiguity while bringing structure, organization, and reliable follow-through to the work.

Scope of Engagement

  • Maintaining the integrated program workplan, risk and dependency tracking, and decision log
  • Preparing agendas, materials, and follow-up documentation for Advisory Committee meetings, under the Program Director’s direction
  • Day-to-day coordination with external consulting and advisory partners, including deliverable and timeline tracking
  • Coordination and communication across workstreams and Company stakeholders, as directed by the Program Director
  • Working closely with the Epic Operations team to align objectives in support of this initiative as the program moves from scoping to deliverables

Initial Priorities

  • Complete a needs assessment and prepare initial scope in partnership with the Program Director and Initiative Stakeholders
  • Establishing an integrated program workplan, risk and dependency tracking, and a decision log covering all active workstreams
  • Supporting the Program Director in preparing materials that frame upcoming decision points for the Advisory Committee
  • Coordinating with workstream leads on feasibility analyses, affiliate engagement and communications, and platform and care model design activities, and flagging gaps or open questions to the Program Director
  • Tracking action items and deliverables from external partners against agreed scope

Additional Partnership with Epic Operations

  • Active review of current roadmap and coordination of activities among application managers
  • Assist with resource forecasting and risk assessment
  • Active engagement with project teams as needed to support and review project plans

Essential Functions

Program Management & Coordination

  • Maintain an integrated, program-wide workplan and update it as priorities and scope shift
  • Track risks, dependencies, and issues; ensure they are addressed by the appropriate owner or escalated to the Program Director with clear framing
  • Maintain program documentation, including decisions, decision criteria, open questions, and required follow-up
  • Translate the Program Director’s direction into clear actions and track progress through completion
  • Establish and maintain operating routines and follow-through across workstreams and partners

Meeting & Materials Support

  • Prepare agendas, pre-reads, and decision-ready materials for Advisory Committee meetings, under the Program Director’s guidance
  • Document decisions and follow-up items from Advisory Committee meetings
  • Compile supporting evidence and data for decision points as directed by the Program Director

Workstream & External Partner Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day work across delivery workstreams so inputs, decisions, and deliverables come together in the right sequence
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for external consulting and advisory partners, tracking deliverables and timelines
  • Monitor whether key economic, technical, clinical, operational, legal, regulatory, and affiliate questions are being addressed, and flag gaps or inconsistencies to the Program Director
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-team logistical issues and ensure clear handoffs between internal teams and external partners

Stakeholder Communications Support

  • Support coordination among the Program Director, affiliate leaders, Company stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners
  • Help identify and coordinate topical experts from across the federation as needed
  • Draft program status and progress communications for the Program Director’s review
  • Maintain accurate stakeholder and contact tracking across the federation

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of project or program coordination experience, ideally in healthcare, digital health, or a related field
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-workstream programs, including risk and dependency tracking, meeting facilitation, and documentation
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors or consultants
  • Experience in reproductive and sexual health, community health, or mission-driven healthcare organizations a plus
  • Experience facilitating communications between business leaders and technology experts
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PMP or similar project management certification a plus

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesize information into clear, well-organized materials
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity while bringing structure to the work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, self-directed, and reliable in following through on commitments
  • Deep commitment to Company’s mission, values, and the communities it serves

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at management's discretion, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
