Role Description

The Strategic Project Manager will work remotely and is responsible for leading projects to achieve timelines and objectives.

• Works with and motivates the team to achieve project timelines and objectives.
• Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develops full-scale project plans and associated project documents including resource needs.
• Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations; liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Defines project success criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
• Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and manages those expectations on an ongoing basis.
• Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Manages the project budget.
• Determines and assesses the need for additional staff and makes recommendations as appropriate during the project cycle.
• Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
• Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
• Conducts the project post mortem and creates a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Assists in developing best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience managing enterprise projects.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work well under pressure as a key member of a fast-paced team.
• Superb oral and written communication skills.
• Travel as needed (less than 10%).
