Role Description
A Site Manager on construction sites oversees all on-site activities to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating contractors and managing schedules
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Resolving technical issues
- Liaising with project stakeholders
- Conducting inspections
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining workflow efficiency and addressing challenges in large-scale solar power plant construction
Additional responsibilities:
- Oversee daily construction activities, schedules, and resource management, including personnel, materials, and equipment
- Supervise subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project designs, specifications, and regulations
- Enforce safety standards, conduct briefings, ensure PPE use, and manage environmental compliance
- Monitor quality, inspections, commissioning, and adherence to industry standards, modifying QAP as needed
- Coordinate deliveries, subcontractor services, and resolve logistical challenges
- Maintain records, report progress, address issues, and approve work completion and invoices
- Issue NCRs and organize team-building activities
Qualifications
- Project & Site Management: Planning, scheduling, progress tracking, procurement, logistics, and contract management
- Technical Expertise: Civil, electrical, and mechanical aspects of PV power plants, including HV/MV infrastructure, grid interconnection, and compliance with electrical/building codes
- Software Proficiency: Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, PVsyst, SCADA, SAP, Procore, and other relevant tools
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensuring HSE standards, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements
- Communication & Leadership: Managing stakeholders, organizing complex projects, and maintaining a systematic approach
- Languages & Flexibility: Excellent English, German (desired), Spanish, and willingness to travel for site work
