[Hiring] Senior Technical Delivery Manager @Mindera

Role Description

As a Senior Delivery Manager with a strong technical background, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of software solutions, working closely with development teams, Tech Leads, clients, and business stakeholders.

• Help teams turn business needs into realistic plans and successfully deliver solutions from initial requirements through to production.
• Work closely with the team to estimate effort, define delivery plans, manage priorities, and ensure progress remains transparent and aligned with business expectations.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and blockers, facilitating decisions and negotiating scope when needed.
• Build strong relationships with clients and business stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating clearly about progress, challenges, and potential trade-offs.
• Understand technical challenges, collaborate with engineers, and anticipate delivery risks.
• Encourage the use of AI to support delivery management, planning, risk analysis, documentation, and related activities.
• During the interview process, demonstrate your delivery management knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and approach to delivering software successfully.
• Expected travelling time (UK and USA): 0%-15%, varies according to project/client.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing technical IT projects and supporting Agile engineering teams in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience driving end-to-end delivery, including planning, workload estimation, scope management, risk mitigation, and dependency management.
• A strong technical background, with the ability to understand infrastructure, servers, virtual machines, high availability (HA), replication, and disaster recovery concepts, including RPO and RTO.
• Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure automation practices, including tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, resolve conflicts, remove impediments, and drive projects towards successful delivery.
• Experience managing project risks, identifying delivery issues, and developing recovery plans to bring projects back on track.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Experience working with international stakeholders and distributed teams across multiple locations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to delivery, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Requirements

• Drive the end-to-end delivery of technical projects within a DevSecOps environment.
• Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to understand technical requirements, dependencies, and delivery constraints.
• Lead project planning, workload estimation, scheduling, and scope management in collaboration with technical teams.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, blockers, and potential delays.
• Develop and drive recovery plans for projects that are falling behind schedule or at risk.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote continuous improvement across the team.
• Coordinate priorities, manage conflicts, and remove impediments to keep delivery moving forward.
• Ensure that infrastructure availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and security requirements are considered throughout project delivery.
• Track progress, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies, providing clear and transparent reporting tailored to different stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-team activities and manage stakeholder expectations regarding timelines, scope, risks, and delivery outcomes.
• Ensure that technical decisions, implementation plans, and changes are aligned with business priorities and operational requirements.
• Drive accountability across the team, ensuring that actions are followed through and commitments are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, team collaboration, and operational efficiency.
