Role Description

A Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiating through Closing phases for media and entertainment organizations, as well as corporate entities. The PM depends on the help of other people to perform most of the actual activities of the project, with a primary focus on written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders.

• Overseeing and performing project management functions on all projects, budgets, and scopes.
• Acting as the person responsible on assigned projects with direct control over all project activities.
• Mentoring other Project Managers within the company.
• Managing large, complex, and sensitive projects, as well as smaller, fast turnaround projects.
• Providing direction to a wide range of internal and external personnel.

Location: This is a virtual role day-to-day, but requires periodic travel to project sites anywhere in Canada, up to 20% of the time.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• 5+ years in project management.
• Strong financial background in project cost accounting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and people skills.
• Great leadership skills.

Requirements

• Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for technicians, managing deliverables from engineering, CAD, and Programming, and overseeing project completion.
• Accountable for following and helping to improve established Diversified processes.
• Developing and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
• Providing clear leadership and ownership for the project.
• Coordinating all activities for timely, accurate, and on-budget project completion.
• Ensuring appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders.
• Resolving destructive conflict.
• Designing, planning, and coordinating work teams for installation projects.
• Monitoring status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing.
• Ensuring quality and continuous improvement.
• Coordinating training & turnover of projects to clients, service department, & sales.
