Role Description

We are seeking a "Sr. Project Manager" for a remote position with a duration of 1.5 years. The responsibilities include:

• Design project plans that identify needs and define major tasks and milestones based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
• Determine project needs and acquire resources required for project success.
• Coordinate the development of new systems and/or application projects, modifications of existing systems or applications, or changes in current methods or techniques.
• Coordinate project performance with the other work of the affected departments.
• Deliver results within established timeframes and quality measures.
• Prepare new or remediated project assets managed by an executing PM.
• Direct resources on assigned projects and ensure clarity of project roles and responsibilities.
• Identify project stakeholders and manage communication with them.
• Consult with business leaders to translate project ideas into defined projects with goals, objectives, and scope.
• Identify resources needed, negotiate with people managers to lead project teams, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
• Develop and implement communication and reporting mechanisms to manage issues, risks, and timely delivery of results.
• Translate project goals/objectives into a defined future state and success measures understood by stakeholders and project teams.
• Ensure business needs and objectives are captured in functional and non-functional requirements.
• Oversee business requirements to meet expected solutions and trace delivery through testing and final implementation.
• Manage project quality through reviews, approvals, and corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure project documentation is complete and current.
• Articulate project management best practices with peers.

Leadership responsibilities include:

• Establishing and maintaining cooperative, productive partnerships on current projects.
• Promoting the benefits of change and acting as a catalyst for change within the organization.
• Organizing and guiding project team activities.
• Prioritizing tasks to meet deliverables and commitments on time.
• Ensuring project members' time and experience are well utilized.
• Recommending alternatives/options to minimize schedule delays.
• Sharing project experience/knowledge and mentoring others to build project management skills.

Qualifications

• Proven success in communicating verbally and in writing to multiple project stakeholders, internal and external.
• Proven experience in technology project implementation.
• Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree with five years of project management experience.
• In-depth knowledge/understanding of PM methodology and a broad understanding/awareness of SDLC methodologies.
