  • Track sprint progress and provide timely, clear status updates to management, project teams, and customers.
  • Identify and help remove impediments, surface delivery risks early, and work with the team to find solutions.
  • Proactively manage commitment risks and issues, escalating them to the appropriate stakeholders when needed.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stay current on Scrum practices and related industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with Policy Administration Software teams or similar insurance technology platforms preferred.
  • Recommended 1+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum framework, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams on Agile best practices, remove impediments, and foster continuous improvement.
  • Proven success in building trust, promoting collaboration, and maintaining accountability across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to build trust and collaborate across roles and teams.
  • Strong organization, analytical thinking, prioritization, and follow-through, with the flexibility to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with the Scrum software development lifecycle; willingness to learn Insurity’s release-management process and SAFe methodology.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification, or the ability to obtain it within your first year.
  • Experience with policy administration software or other insurance technology is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
