[Hiring] Regional Project Manager @Vestas

Role Description

Responsible for delivering Office and Factory Services projects to support Vestas business needs by understanding stakeholder requirements, managing design consultants, procuring contractors, and managing the appraisal, permitting, construction and closeout phases.

• Manage the construction phase by overseeing safety, quality, schedule, budget, scope, and production impact.
• Ensure compliance with local jurisdiction (i.e. environmental compliance, hazardous materials, building department and land use).
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, user groups, consultants, and contractors through integrity, technical understanding, and effective communication.
• Understand local jurisdiction and local officials to support valuable outcomes for real estate planning.
• Thoroughly understand factory processes and how construction projects can impact each phase.
• Turn stakeholder requirements into construction documents by applying experience and technical skill.
• Align with global resources to ensure Vestas best practices are utilized.
• Introduce creativity and innovation into the delivery process to improve budget and schedule performance.
• Provide rough order of magnitude estimates of budget and schedule.
• Strategically select vendors in partnership with procurement, executing RFQs and evaluating multiple bids.
• Support and promote EHS efforts and serve as an ambassador for an injury and incident-free safety culture at the project site.
• Collaborate on projects and delivery processes from both local and international perspectives.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software programs.
• Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Primavera, MS Project, and other project and scheduling software.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work flexible hours with a variety of cultures.
• Financial understanding and budget responsibility.
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to effectively participate in a cross-functional team.
• Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
• Ability to see, hear, touch, and smell.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Architecture).
• 5–8 years of practical, on-site project management experience.
• Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Stakeholder-centric mindset.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project.
• Project management Certification (PMP, APM, CPM).
• Agile Methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
